Size Guide

The right size starts with one number — but it does not end there.

Step 1 — measure your head

Take a soft tape measure (not a steel one). Run it around the widest part of your head: roughly 2 cm above the brow, directly above the ears, and across the most prominent point at the back.

  • Pull it snug — neither loose nor pressing in.
  • Measure two or three times and take the most frequent reading.
  • Record it in centimetres, rounded to the nearest whole number.
  • If your hair is thick or usually tied back, measure as you would ride.

Step 2 — match the general table

The table below is a general reference for adult helmet sizes. It is not a guarantee of fit — each model has its own shell shape and lining thickness, so the same size can feel different between models.

Step 2 — match the general table
SizeHead circumferenceNote
S55 – 56 cmUsually teenagers or adults with a smaller head
M57 – 58 cmThe most common size in Indonesia
L59 – 60 cmThe second most common size
XL61 – 62 cmLimited availability on some models

The only model in our catalogue that lists its own size table on the official sheet is JPN Galaxy: M (57–58 cm) and L (59–60 cm). For other models, ask us about size availability.

Step 3 — try it on; this is what decides

The number is only a starting point. A helmet that truly fits meets all of the following:

  • Even pressure. Snug all the way round, with no single point that hurts or digs in.
  • No shifting. Shake and nod your head — the scalp moves with the lining; the helmet does not turn by itself.
  • It stays on. With the strap fastened, push the helmet from the back towards the front. It must not roll off.
  • Cheeks supported. The cheek pads touch rather than hang.

A new helmet reasonably feels a little tight. The padding will give slightly after a few uses — but the shell shape does not change. If a spot hurts from the start, go up one size or try a different model.

For children's helmets

Measure a child's head the same way. Do not buy a size up so it "lasts longer" — a loose helmet does not work as it should and makes a child reluctant to wear it. Re-check the size every few months, as children are still growing.

Our children's line: KBR Bogo Carkids and KBR Junior Pet Motif.

Not yet complete. Official per-model size tables are still being compiled. Until they are available, the reference above is general and does not replace trying a helmet on in person.
